Uwe Boll o "del nuovo cinema popolare"

Why has a controversial director like Uwe Boll made one of the most interesting films of recent years? Not because he's perfect. Not because he's necessarily right. But because he tries to do something that contemporary cinema seems to have forgotten: tell a popular point of view. Starting from his latest film, let's reflect on a much broader phenomenon: the gentrification of pop culture. What happens when a grassroots product is slowly rewritten by those from other social and cultural backgrounds? Why have characters like Apu from The Simpsons disappeared? Why does Hollywood seem to increasingly less represent the world experienced by millions of people? And above all: should culture educate the people... or represent them? In this video, I try to bring together cinema, sociology, and philosophy to answer a question that goes far beyond Uwe Boll. Perhaps the problem isn't just which films are made. Perhaps the problem is which films are no longer made. But hey, let's talk about it here. If you want to subscribe to our Patreon:   / progettorazzia018
