DCI Cummings gives a statement after Rikki Berry's killers jailed for 92 years

Three men have been jailed for life after shooting Rikki Berry dead. The 36-year-old, who was known as "Nuggy", died after being shot three times by a balaclava-clad assailant on an electric bike outside his girlfriend's house in Quarryside Drive in Kirkby on July 17 last year. Michael Smith, Adam Williams and Connor Walsh were unanimously convicted of his murder last week following a trial at Liverpool Crown Court. They were also found guilty of a further count of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life by a jury of eight men and four women and returned to the same court in order to be sentenced this morning, Tuesday.
