Conferencia Las huellas de la educación en Colombia: ¿cómo nos han educado y para qué?

Sixty years ago, the Luis Ángel Arango Library was founded to offer Bogota residents a space to preserve, learn about, and disseminate culture. The Bank of the Republic expanded this project to the rest of the country, and today the Bank of the Republic Library Network has a presence in 29 cities. To celebrate this milestone, and within the framework of the exhibition "BLAA 60 Years: Evidence for a Nation," a series of meetings with experts in various fields of knowledge are being held to discuss how bibliographic collections help us understand ourselves as a nation. In this third meeting, Efraín Sánchez and Francisco Cajiao will discuss how the BLAA archives allow us to talk about the history of education in Colombia and also understand what we were, what we are, and what we will be as individuals and as a society. Francisco Cajiao is one of Colombia's leading experts on education. He holds a degree in Philosophy from Javeriana University and a Master's degree in Economics from the University of the Andes. He is currently the rector of the Cafam University Foundation, a regular columnist for El Tiempo, and has published several articles and books on education and pedagogy.
