Tactical Winlink Internet Down This week the WaveTalkers crew deploys a Tactical Winlink Gateway and puts it to the test for sending Winlink traffic when the Internet is down. With the entire WaveTalkers crew together in the same place, we put the Tactical Winlink Gateway concept we discussed in Episode 104 to the test. We will show you how we setup a Winlink RMS Gateway to operate with no internet and forward its traffic into the CMS allowing you to pass Winlink message to the internet even when there is no Internet available in your area. We then change the RMS gateway configuration to allow for seamless message traffic passing within your team without the need to tie up extra bandwidth with Peer2Peer messages. No internet required and your team can pass traffic to each other via both VHF and HF. These solutions worked so well, even we were surprised!
