This video analyzes the qualities of the Sony GM 28-70 f/2. Optically, it's a fantastic lens, beautifully constructed, and extremely high-performance. The very bright aperture makes it suitable for almost any application, but in my opinion, it's the perfect companion for event or wedding photographers. Photographers working in controlled-light settings, such as studios and commercials, might easily opt for the "old" 24-70 f/2.8, GM II (or the Sigma version), as they won't benefit much from the extra aperture stop, but they'll save a lot of weight and money!
