Channel Five journalists met today with Burulai Turdali kyzy's father. She died under strange circumstances on the night of May 28th, when a young man who wanted to marry her kidnapped her and his friend. Police, responding to a tip from neighbors and parents, intervened and apprehended the kidnappers. All three were taken to the Zhaiyl District Police Department, and then strange things began to happen. The strangeness also concerns the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. On July 16th, Prime Minister Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziyev instructed the Minister of Internal Affairs to meet personally with the murdered girl's father, Turdali Kozhonaliev. A week later, the Minister told journalists that the meeting had taken place, but the girl's father said it had not: Turdali Kozhonaliev, Burulai's father: "Interior Minister Kashkar Dzhunushaliev said that they met with me and that everything was fine, but I haven't met with him yet; I haven't seen him yet." If our ministers are lying, where will the rest of us go?" According to initial police statements, after the car carrying the kidnappers was detained, the girl—Burulai—was taken to the emergency room, while the two detained young men remained in the police station courtyard. At this point, someone knocked on the gate. It was nearly midnight, and the police officer was distracted. At this point, the young men (or one of them) ran into the emergency room and locked himself in. By the time the police realized what was happening, began trying to get into their own room, then broke down the door and entered. It turned out that the young man had already killed his girlfriend, stabbing her several times. He then attempted to commit suicide by stabbing himself three times in the stomach before losing consciousness. The knife was hidden in his socks, so the professional police officers didn't notice. The unconscious kidnapper was taken to the hospital, where he spent several days in intensive care, even underwent surgery, and was then transferred to a pretrial detention center. According to initial police reports, Burulai died immediately, while still in the police station, but other reports suggest she was still alive when both were being transported to the hospital and died there, between 1:20 a.m. The parents say that after the kidnappers were caught, the police called them. They then spoke with their daughter, who said she was fine, and they drove from Bishkek to the Zhaiyl district. While they were driving, their daughter called them again, asking when they would arrive. When the parents arrived, they were no longer allowed to see their daughter, saying she was currently giving a statement, and then were informed that she was dead. This means that the events didn't happen immediately after their arrest and arrival at the police station. The young men didn't rush into the waiting room immediately upon arrival. Moreover, during the washing of Burulai's body before the funeral, her father took a photo and allegedly saw the initials "H + B" carved into the body with a knife. This suggests that the couple could have been together in a locked room for quite some time, and if the would-be groom had already written on a dead body, the police wouldn't have rushed in. On June 21, the Republican Forensic Center concluded that no writing was found on the girl's body, and that any marks were traces of a defibrillator. This device, which delivers electrical impulses of several thousand volts, is typically used to restart a stopped heart. Therefore, if this is true, Burulai was still alive when she was admitted to the hospital, or she was defibrillated in the ambulance while being transported from the police station to the district hospital. But why didn't her parents, who had already arrived at the police station by then, see any of this when they were told her daughter was testifying? Later, when her father saw her body for the first time, he said his daughter's entire chest was covered in blood. And how much can we trust our experts if they write that the first examination was conducted on May 25th, when the events only began on May 27th? Turdali Kozhonaliev, the father of the deceased Burulai, explains: "Regarding the first examination, they wrote in the report, just as the police station also stated, that she died instantly, and they put the date as May 25th, although the events occurred on the night of May 28th." And why, if the initials carved with a knife on Burulai's chest were indeed "N + B," are they "N + B," and the young man who abducted her is named Marsbek Bodoshev? His friend, who was with him, is named Akmat, and his last name begins with "S," but why should the letter "N" appear? There are too many mysteries in the case, and probably no one will be surprised if it turns out that the people to blame for Burulai's death are not at all those we are currently pointing to.
