He first came into contact with the teachings of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) in 1996 while pursuing his MBBS at Madurai Medical College, Tamil Nadu. Deeply inspired by the philosophy and mission of ISKCON, he chose to dedicate his life to spiritual service and joined ISKCON as a full-time brahmachari (celibate monk) in 1999. He is a disciple of His Holiness Jayapataka Swami and also a shiksha disciple of His Holiness Bhakti Vikasa Swami. Over the years, he has served in Vallabh Vidyanagar, Gujarat, inspiring youth preaching and establishing the Varnasrama mission.
