Futurebirds - "Yur Not Ded" (Mile Marker)

Stream/download the whole session at www.heyreverb.com... We instantly fell in love with Futurebirds upon first listen of 2010's "Hampton's Lullaby." It's an earnest folk rock record drenched in reverb and warm tones from an ever-present pedal steel guitar. The guys hail from the storied musical college town of Athens, Ga., and we were thrilled to have them come through Uneven Studio during their two-night stand at the Larimer Lounge this past February. Listen, in particular, to "Yur Not Ded" -- a careful, winding ballad that recalls Neil Young in his "Zuma" days (check out the video above).
