A former impeachment defense lawyer of ex-Chief Justice Renato Corona believes VP Sara Duterte should appear in her impeachment trial to show that she is undaunted by the charges filed against her. Atty. Jose Roy III, former dean of the Pamantason ng Lungsod ng Maynila Law School, said the impeachment court can ask defense lawyers to bring their client but said it would be better if the Vice-President appears without prompting from the Senate to answer questions directly.
