New for 2018 is the 3rd generation luxury crossover with prices ranging from $42,650 for the base xDrive30i model up to $54,500 for the M40i model seen here. There are 2 engine options available on the 2018 BMW X3 with the first being a 2.0 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that makes 248 horsepower and the second engine equipped on the M40i model is a 3.0 liter turbocharged 6-cylinder that makes 355 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. Both engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Fuel economy ratings check in at 20 MPG in the city and 27 MPG on the highway. The real magic is in the way it drives.
