Studio 5000 MAOC Instruction | Motion Arm Output Cam For Controlling Outputs Using Servo Position
Allen-Bradley Servo controls have a wide range of uses so in this video we will be going deep into the use of the MAOC instruction & the MDOC instruction to control real-world PLC outputs. Controlling outputs using servo position will give a precise way to turn on & turn off the output that you need to achieve a task. Of course, you can only control outputs when the I/O card is set the scheduled. Having the output card set the scheduled keeps the timing of the output operation more inline with the servo timing of the PLC processor. The motion arm output cam is a very effective way to control precise timing & use of a PLC output based on the position of a servo. Video Content: 0:00 - Quick Intro 0:45 - Setting the Output card to scheduled data 1:44 - Servo conversions to understand the rollover 2:40 - Overview of the MAOC cam profile editor & use cases 8:39 - Testing the system to show how it works 8:50 - Servo homing to a position from the MAH instruction 10:50 - Running the servo with the MAOC active with trends 13:20 - Cam start position & Cam end position 15:15 - MAOC position reference (Command vs Actual) 22:30 - Editing the logic to disarm the cam if the system stopped 26:15 - System testing for the arm & disarm of the output cam I hope you enjoyed the video.
