BNSF 7317 Intermodal Stack Train South - E. Morada Lane Railroad Crossing, Stockton CA

(Filmed February 9, 2026) After the z-trains went by, the activity went quiet for nearly an hour. A little after 1 PM, the southbound BNSF intermodal stack train (symbol S-SLCOIG) departed the Tomspur siding. It had been there since before I got here and most likely got a call from the dispatch to come on down to either Mormon Yard or the Duffy siding to tie down and wait for a new crew to take it to Oakland. This was my last catch of the day. This crossing owned by Union Pacific is a mixed install with the shoulder and gateless signals being a UP late 2000s signal install with some light and gate changes. The median signals are both UP early to mid 2010s signal installs with changes to their gates and gate lights.
