Labirinto di stradine a Chenini, Tunisia

After leaving Matamata I arrive in Tatahouine. Here I can't find the hotel I had chosen, and I also realize that I need to stop in a less crowded place. I therefore decide to continue towards Chenini, an ancient abandoned Berber village, perched on a hill surrounded by a spectacular landscape. But first I go to Ksar Tounket, another ancient Berber settlement, which I reach after a few kilometers of dirt road that is at times challenging. The arrival in Chenini is rather comical. I almost got lost in the maze of steep pedestrian streets that lead to the top of the hill, and even finding the only hotel in the place wasn't easy at all. I will be rewarded by a spectacular sunset that illuminates the ruins and surrounding mountains with a warm light, and by a night in one of the caves where the Berbers slept in ancient times.
