Australian SPITFIRE found in Wales | Hear the MERLIN ROAR!
I’m currently filming BBC Antiques Road Trip in Wales and on my day off (it’s rare!) I found myself in the lovely town of Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire where I’d heard about a 1940’s SPITFIRE which is housed in a small museum behind a charity shop in the middle of the town! The Spitfire was ordered in 1942 and delivered in 1944. Powered by the iconic Merlin Rolls Royce engine You can see this machine for yourself if you ever get to Pembrokeshire! The museum is in the town of Haverfordwest. Take a look at the museums Facebook page for more Information. Simply search ‘Welsh Spitfire’ and you’ll find everything you need to know and how to get in touch with Ray #spitfire #fighterplane #wwii #WWIIplanes #spitfirefighter
