And in today's video, we'll take a first tour of our RV construction, showing what we've already done and the dimensions of our project. In our planning, we decided to create a minimalist setup, without assembling or disassembling a bed, without a turntable, and with only what we needed. The charm of this setup will lie in the finishing touches, which we'll show in action in future videos here on the channel. And to start showing you everything, on the outside, we've already installed two 12V LED lights for support, a 110V power input, a 4-step Bepo ladder, 4 windows, and a 90km/h sticker. On the top, we have three 155W solar panels, an air conditioner, and a skylight. Continuing outside, we have access to the garage, where all the technical equipment will be located: plumbing (left) and electrical (right), a water tank at the back, and the rest of the space for our luggage. We chose to keep it discreetly black, and we installed coin-shaped rubber plates on the floor to prevent luggage from sliding around. The bed frame was made of metal that we painted black. For the bed frame, we used a 10mm naval plywood sheet with a few holes for the mattress to breathe. On the sides near the door, where we couldn't cover it with wood due to the uneven surface, we covered it with leatherette. We made the door seal with plywood, using the old upholstery we already had in the van as a template. Up top, we also installed a camera that serves as a rearview mirror, allowing us to access the rear view camera. It stays on all the time while driving (this was one of the first installations, as it's a bit difficult to drive a van this size without having access to the rear view camera). Regarding the exterior dimensions of this Renault Master L3H2, it measures approximately 2.5 meters in height and width (including the rearview mirrors). The total length is 6.2 meters. The door opening measures 1.28m, so we chose to install a door stop to allow it to open 18cm less so that our bedroom window wouldn't be too far back. Speaking of windows, we chose a 60x25 swing-and-turn window in the bedroom and a 90x40 swing-and-slide window in the front. Inside, we've already finished the entire wall and floor with 15mm marine plywood. We chose this size so our cabinets can be securely fastened. Behind it, there's a layer of asphalt and a 5cm layer of rock wool. We treated the inside of the wood with Stain, and on the outside, after applying putty between the joints, we sanded everything and applied a Suvinil matte white wood primer. We'll sand again and fill in some cracks with putty before applying the finish paint, which will likely be rubberized. On the upper level of the kitchen, we have our control panel (which we taught how to make in the last video posted last week) with a water and wastewater tank level gauge, as well as control for the water pump, inverter, and outdoor lighting. There are also some 12V backup outlets for our kitchen countertop (in case we need them for portable appliances). This panel will be inside our overhead kitchen cabinet, which will measure 1 meter and 4 cm with two hinged doors. We will make all the cabinets 30 x 30 cm at the front and base, as the back will be slightly smaller due to the curved corners of the van. On the lower level, we will have a countertop with a stove and oven, a sink, and a refrigerator measuring 1.70 cm long by 55 cm wide, leaving a 55 cm wide hallway to the bathroom. In our room, our bed was placed across the room to optimize space and take advantage of the Renault Master's generous width. Our bed measured 1.90m by 1.35m (the size of a double bed). To maximize this width, we needed to make the bed 90cm high. We'll add a step to match the decor in the future to facilitate access to the top of the bed. In the front, we'll have our dinette, leaving a 1.45m space between the bathroom and the cabin. It will have two storage seats and a table in the center. This is where we'll eat and use it as our office. Upstairs, there's a wall cabinet with two hinged doors. We have a panel here to keep track of the indoor and outdoor temperatures, as well as the time. Upstairs, there's a skylight with three speeds: manual and automatic (with a rain sensor), an exhaust fan, and a 30cm fan. The floor is still made of marine plywood; we'll wait to install the vinyl flooring once we've finished the overhead cabinets. From the cabin to the bed, we measure 2.4 meters, and the interior height is 1.86 meters. However, we'll reduce it by one centimeter when we install the slats that will finish the slatted ceiling.
