Motorcycle Tour of Ireland on a BMW 1250GSA and Triumph Tiger 900

This episode takes us from the top of The Healy Pass to our overnight stop in the delightful town of Kenmare. The inclement weather meant we couldn't explore the town as we would have liked (we'll have to come back!) but our hotel was an excellent choice with great food and service. The following morning brought dubius weather which was disappointing because this was the big day to do The Gap Of Dunloe. Riding the Gap was the principle reason for this trip to Ireland. It wasn't on The Wild Atlantic Way but we' d seen videos of it and it looked an epic ride worthy of a special trip. We were desperately hoping the weather would be on our side for this ride, unfortunately dark clouds and rain greeted us as we passed Molls Gap making the ride to the Gap more challenging -compounded by a rear brake failure on Sue's bike coming down the Gap which was a bit disconcerting to say the least, but she handled it brilliantly! We set off early and were hoping to ride the whole road before 10.30 am to beat the Jaunting Cars (Pony and traps) but didn't quite get there on time! Getting to the Gap of Dunloe took us on an amazing road, mainly single track and often covered in mud and horse manure but the ride was indeed as spectacular as we expected. An epic ride that we think is worthy of being Ireland's best motorcycle ride but we'd be really interested in your thoughts and opinions.
