How Seattle Is Becoming an Urbanism Juggernaut (Maybe in Spite of Itself)
Sound Transit Link's Northgate Station, opened in 2021, is now the system's busiest -- but it still isn't anywhere near meeting its potential. Development around the station is a work in progress, including a complete revamp of Northgate Mall, one of the nation's oldest. The station area is a case study in how a region tries to balance transit service, access, and redevelopment opportunities. ---------- The Urbanist does an amazing job covering cities and transportation, and advocating for a better Seattle.
