Faszination Tauchen - Mein Leben unter Wasser (Doku)
Although humans aren't designed for underwater life, the underwater world holds a magical allure for many. More and more divers—armed with snorkels or oxygen tanks—are setting out to explore the flora and fauna of seas and lakes worldwide. But how dangerous is the sport? And what are the environmental consequences of the booming dive tourism industry? In the web documentary "Fascination Diving," amateur and professional divers offer fascinating insights into their lives underwater. Whether in Thailand, the Baltic Sea, or as a mermaid in an indoor swimming pool: diving has many facets and can be practiced in a variety of ways. This is demonstrated by the protagonists of the video diary "Fascination Diving – My Life Underwater." Divers like Axel Früh specialize in wreck diving. They observe the impact of the sunken remnants of our civilization on the marine environment. Other divers, like Katharina Becker, have turned their beloved hobby into a profession and offer diving courses for tourists in the Red Sea. Or, like Natalie Grande from Berlin, you can specialize in underwater stunts and also offer "mermaid courses" in swimming pools. How dangerous is diving for people and the environment? In this web documentary, six divers talk about their lives underwater and showcase their impressive underwater footage. They also speak openly about the dangers of diving, their first diving experiences, and the consequences that increasing dive tourism has had and will have on the environment, both domestically and internationally. The protagonists of the documentary: Natalie Grande is a stuntwoman living in Berlin. She specializes in underwater stunts and currently works primarily as a mermaid. At her "Mermaid Apnea Academy" (apnea = diving on a single breath), she teaches freediving and mermaid courses. More information about Natalie Grande's work can be found here: http://www.meerjungfrau-live.de/video... Katharina Becker previously worked in management consulting. After a sabbatical, she decided to change careers and pursue diving professionally. She trained as a diving instructor in Egypt, where she and her husband have lived and worked for the past few years. Katharina Becker blogs at http://www.diverettes.de – primarily for female diving enthusiasts. Axel Früh is the managing director of the Freiburg Diving Center. He has been diving for over 20 years and specializes in technical diving. He has completed several thousand dives. His goal is to one day dive to a depth of 100 meters. More information about Axel Früh's Diving Center can be found here: http://www.tauchcenter-freiburg.de Felix Dziekan blogs about diving, among other things, at https://felixtravelblog.de. He financed his world trip in part by taking diving courses. He's been diving since his youth, but work commitments currently limit his time there. Felix Dziekan is less drawn to German waters than to international ones. Torsten Voss calls himself an "ambassador of the Baltic Sea." He has published numerous videos and photos from the Baltic Sea and German lakes on his YouTube channel. Torsten Voss lives in Eckernförde and is an amateur diver. He dives in all weather conditions and temperatures. Here's a link to Torsten Voss's YouTube channel: / @torstenvoss515 Peter Löseke has been diving since 1993. He has traveled extensively and began filming his dives early on. He now owns a lot of equipment and specialized cameras, which he uses to document his diving.
