Making a Cheap Vacuum Chamber for Stabilizing Wood

Vacuum chambers are needed for stabilizing wood for use in knife handles -- as well as other wood working projects like wood turning. While they sound like complicated equipment, they actually aren't super expensive to make. Knife maker Walter Sorrells shows how he made his own vacuum chamber using PVC and readily available plumbing supplies. This build is pretty tool-heavy -- there's CNC milling involved -- but the cost of materials isn't high.
