Replacing and Staining Chair Back Caning

In this video I will show you how I replaced the caning in the chair back of my favorite bamboo chairs. To have them recaned and stained by a professional was $250 per chair, so I decided to try it myself. Here's what I did and what I learned. Now I'm passing that knowledge on to you! I did 4 chairs myself in total. The first one took a few hours and the last one took a little over an hour. Total cost per chair was about $55 ($220 for 4 chairs) for the caning and stain supplies. I saved almost $800 on the set. After doing one chair, I found it wasn't as daunting as I was expecting and I thought I should have done this a while ago! Good Luck to you!
