Ha Giang | The Last Steps on the Dong Van Karst Plateau

Final episode of the 16-day Vietnam’s Final Frontier journey with Mr Linh’s Adventures. In this episode, we had a little time to sit together with the group, share a warm farewell lunch, and listen to the heartfelt reflections of our Italian friends before saying goodbye. The final destination of this journey is Ha Giang, Vietnam’s far northern frontier, where majestic limestone mountains rise close to the border with China. It is one of the most remote, challenging, beautiful, and culturally rich regions in Northern Vietnam. Our Italian friends crossed the final trails along the white limestone cliffs of the Dong Van Karst Plateau. Although many of them are over 70 years old, their spirit, energy, and determination were truly inspiring. Every day, they completed 10–15 km of trekking through rocky mountain paths, remote villages, and valleys where the Black Hmong people still live on the steep silver-white limestone slopes. This final episode is not only the end of a tour. It is a tribute to the friends who walked with us through mountains, rice terraces, ethnic villages, family meals, and some of the most remote roads and trails in Northern Vietnam. Thank you to our Italian friends for your wonderful spirit, perseverance, and love for Vietnam. Goodbye, and see you again on the next roads!
