After shaping and carving in Part 1, I continue with post-bisque firing treatments for the zodiac horse and tableware, documenting the process from glazing to the final firing. I use several types of glaze, including Unofu, oxidised celadon, transparent matte, and Kohagi, selecting each one to suit the piece and enjoying the differences in colour and texture that emerge. Through this process, I was reminded of the challenges and charm of handmade work, as glaze thickness and marks from shaping naturally appear in the finished surface. This second part focuses on glazing, foot finishing, and preparation for the final firing. 🍂 Highlights • Checking pieces after bisque firing • Glazing and adjusting thickness • Final preparation before firing ▶ Previous video Chapter 27: New Year Ornaments & Zodiac Pottery – Part 1 ▶ Next video Chapter 29: New Year Shimenawa Decoration Making 🎵 Music DOVA Syndrome Noru – Afternoon Window, the Scent of Coffee
