Kyoto Butokuden Iaijutsu Demonstration 2026 June 13 京都武徳殿演武大会 令和8年度 (Performed with injuries)

This year i had to perform with injuries on my left ankle and right knee. I couldn't bend fully my right knee had difficulty with seiza sitting. So i decided to swap seiza sitting with tatehiza sitting which was still painful for me but bearable. That was why my Tatehiza sitting with slanted a bit off balance to the left to offset the pain and pressure on my left ankle. Furthermore, I hadn't yet got used to new iaito with a longer length. Nevertheless, i went ahead and did my best on the day. Fortunately, my performance was kind of acceptable with a few mistakes. The 2026 Tosa Eishin-ryu Kongen Dojo Group Kyoto Butokuden event has successfully concluded. We were honored to welcome over 100 instructors and practitioners from 19 different dojos, transcending differences in lineages and branches. Thank you all very much for your participation.
