Literasi Digital - Materi MPLS #mpls #literasidigital
The four pillars of national digital literacy developed by the Ministry of Communication and Informatics are part of the 2021-2024 Digital Literacy Roadmap and are mandatory material during the School Environment Introduction Period (MPLS). These pillars are designed to ensure that new students are not only technologically savvy but also responsible and safe in the digital space. The following is an explanation of the four pillars and their implementation for new students: 1. Digital Skills This pillar relates to an individual's technical ability to know, understand, and use digital hardware, software, and operating systems in everyday life. Targets for New Students: Understand the basic operation of devices (smartphones/laptops), utilize the school's online learning platform, and process data systematically. Example Behavior: Securely connect devices to the school's internet network and use search engines to research school assignments. 2. Digital Culture Digital culture is the ability of society to build national insight and apply the values of Pancasila and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika when interacting in digital spaces. Targets for New Students: Instilling the values of tolerance, gender equality, inclusivity, and respect for the intellectual property rights of others. Example Behavior: Including the original author's name when legally reposting content or singing someone else's song. 3. Digital Ethics Digital ethics, or netiquette, is the ability to recognize, consider, and develop digital ethical governance in everyday interactions to maintain politeness and respect the rights of others. Targets for New Students: Awareness of communicating politely in class chat groups, respecting the privacy of friends/teachers, and filtering out negative content. Example Behavior: Not creating rival communication groups without permission and avoiding abusive comments or cyberbullying on social media. 4. Digital Safety This pillar encompasses the ability to recognize, analyze, and raise awareness about personal data protection and cybersecurity. Targets for New Students: Skills in protecting digital identity, detecting cybercrime threats (such as phishing or malware), and managing digital footprints. Example Behaviors: Creating strong passwords (at least 12 characters), enabling two-factor authentication (2FA), and being able to identify spam emails or messages. A balanced application of these four pillars is crucial for new students. For example, students who possess high technical skills (Digital Skills) but lack security skills (Digital Safety) will be highly vulnerable to data breaches or psychosocial manipulation in cyberspace. Conversely, a strong mastery of ethics without technical skills can hinder students' learning innovation.
