Today, however, more and more people feel that all fantasy is the same: same costumes, same atmospheres, same artificial pacing, and worlds devoid of identity. In this video, we analyze why contemporary fantasy seems to have lost its soul, taking as examples series like The Witcher, The Wheel of Time, and The Rings of Power, and comparing them with the great classics of Tolkien and literary fantasy.
