Between 1984 and 1993, the ¡A Luchar! (Let's Fight!) movement brought together peasants, students, teachers, union members, Indigenous communities, and other popular sectors around democratic participation, social organization, and the defense of human rights. The persecution of this movement includes 723 violent incidents and 529 victims, among them 260 murders and 80 forced disappearances. Of the total recorded incidents, 63% were attributed to members of the security forces and state security and intelligence agencies, and 29% to paramilitary groups. ___ The Special Jurisdiction for Peace (JEP) is the judicial component of the Comprehensive System for Peace, created by the Final Peace Agreement signed by the National Government and the FARC-EP. Its mission is to investigate, prosecute, and punish the most serious and representative crimes committed during the conflict in order to consolidate the transition to peace and restore the social fabric, guaranteeing the rights of victims and the legal security of those brought before the courts. 🔔Subscribe to our channel:    / @jepcolombia   🌐Visit: https://www.jep.gov.co 🎥More videos from the JEP Colombia: youtube.com/@JEPColombia/videos Follow us on Facebook:   / colombiajep   X (Twitter):   / jep_colombia   Instagram:   / jep_colombia   𝗧𝗶𝗸𝗧𝗼𝗸:   / jep_colombia   𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗱𝗜𝗻:   / jurisdiccion-especial-para-la-paz
