It's important to look at it this way: every member of the flora and fauna has its place in the food chain, and this order allows for the development of natural diversity. Far more terrifying are forest fires that destroy everything in their path. The board card game "Amazonia" immerses you in the wondrous world of tropical wildlife. You must cultivate a lush, exotic forest, engaging the entire ecosystem in its creation: from green plant saplings to wild animals. But you can't simply lay down a desired card; you must carefully select what will grow in your forest to create the perfect balance of flora and fauna. Amazonia is played over three rounds, called "seasons." Each season, players take turns choosing cards from the three available growth decks, then either take the pile they've looked at and place the cards in their forest, or return it to the deck, adding one card from the current season. Each deck contains its own plant and animal cards, some of which are more beneficial than others, while others can be detrimental. So choose wisely. The basic rules of "Amazonia" are designed for duel play, but include 3- and 4-player variants, as well as a solo mode.
