Thirsty Land, Suffering Herds: Over 200 Cattle Dead in Kasese Due to Drought
Prolonged drought in Kasese District has devastated the cattle corridor, leaving livestock keepers grappling with heavy losses. In Nyakatonzi Sub-county, Bukonzo County East, shrinking water sources and depleted pasture have pushed livestock to the brink. More than 200 cattle have reportedly died since the dry spell began in January, with farmers appealing for urgent government intervention.
