M F Hussain paints his horses: rare archival footage

M.F. Hussain was one of India's most gifted artists. He is known for his paintings of women and horses, and for often painting very controversial works. M F Hussain has not only contributed to India in the field of art but also in that of photography and movies. Initially, he was not successful but as he started visiting Baroda, Ahmedabad and Surat to paint landscapes, his earnings got better. Hussain's painting 'Sunhera Sansaar' at the1947 annual exhibition of the Bombay Art Society won an award and marked his entry as a known artist.
