BIRTH OF DARUL HUDA The true believers, both men and women, are protectors of one another. They enjoin what is just and forbid what is evil; they establish Salaah, pay Zakah and obey Allaah and His Rasool (Messenger). It is they on whom Allaah will have His Mercy; surely Allaah is Mighty and Wise. (Al Quraan 9:71) Let there arise from among you a band of people who should invite to righteousness, enjoin good and forbid evil; such are the ones who shall be successful. (Al Quraan 3:104) If anyone of you sees an evil he should stop it with his hands. If he is not able to do so let him change it with his tongue. Even if he is not able to do so, then let him hate it by heart (move away from it in hatred). (Saheehul Muslim) The believers in their affection and love between them are like a body. If one part is affected the whole body suffers with fever and sadness. (Saheehul Bukharee) According to the above verses and Prophetic Hadeeth, we understand that social activities are a duty in religion and to perform that duty as shown in the Noble Quraan and in the way of the Prophets, and to get Allaah’s Rewards DARUL HUDA was formed. ACTIVITIES INVITING: The Prophets carried out this work in the world. After the final messenger Muhammads this duty is enjoined upon his 10 10 followers. The Noble Quraan and the Prophetic Hadeeth emphasise the importance of this work. So the first duty of DARUL HUDA is to call humankind to the Way of Allaah in all the ways possible. EDUCATING: To create interest in Quraan, Sunnah and Salaf Saalih (The Pious Predecessors in Islaam) – and to teach their way is DARUL HUDA’s second priority. PUBLISHING: To translate books written by the world’s great authors in Arabic to Tamil and other languages in the way of Quraan and Sunnah is DARUL HUDA’s third priority. CONTRIBUTING: Allaah has promised a great reward in this world and the Hereafter for those who help the needy and poor. To fulfill others’ need is a character of Muslims. For this to create a Baithul Maal (Common treasury) , to get obligatory and extra help from the good hearted people and to help the needy is DARUL HUDA’s fourth priority. With this, for Islaam to come into everyone’s life, to bring good relationship, kindness and integrity within the societies as far as possible for the sake of Allaah is the vision of DARUL HUDA.
