We actually didn't want to go to the Pamukkale Hot Springs because they're so crowded with tourists. So we approached the whole thing backwards and were rewarded with a secret hot pool. And it gets even better: Insider tip No. 2! Kuladokya (no typo - not Kappadokya!) may be tiny, but it's definitely worth a stopover. The biggest surprise, however, comes at the end: we were stopped by the police because the pass down to Istanbul was closed due to heavy snowfall, and we were stuck in a mountain village for two days in freezing cold and plenty of fresh snow.
