THE STAR OF DAVID: Origins of an Ancient Symbol – with Rabbi Michael Skobac – Jews for Judaism The six-pointed star is one of the most recognized Jewish symbols around. Its origins are not clear and probably evolved over time. This lecture explores some of the background and sources of the Jewish Star or Star of David in the Bible, later rabbinic literature as well archaeological findings. In addition, possible meaning and symbolism of the Star of David are discussed.
