Jai Seva Indana (जय सेवा इंदाना)

A Gondi Song, praying "Bhimal Pen", a deity of Gond Tribes. "Bhimal Pen Thana" is a place associated with Gondi Religion; "Kunwara Bhimal Pen," located at Bhivagad village, on the bank of the River Pench, in the Parseoni Tahsil of Nagpur District in Maharashtra State, India. For centuries, Gond Tribes have been worshipping Bhimal Pen, a fair is also held every year at this place. गोंड जनजाति के लोग भीमाल पेन की पूजा करते आ रहे हैं। इस स्थान पर हर साल मेला लगता है। "Jai Seva" means "I bow to you" or "I honor the divine within you," is used as a respectful salutation / as a greeting by the Gond Tribes. This gesture symbolizes that we promote a sense of unity and interconnectedness. Because of the decline of the Gondwana Kingdom in Central India due to invasions by the foreign powers, and ultimately, the incorporation of Gond Territories into Larger Empires and subsequently, a part of "Union Of India", after Independence, the "Gondwana Kingdom" lost its glorious times. The Gond Kingdoms' disempowerment and the rise of external powers led to the dilution of Gond Culture and Gondi language, badly impacting the community's representation and Social Standing. Secondly, Industrialization in India has significantly impacted tribal communities. It may be mentioned that displacement and exposure to a different way of life lead to the weakening of traditional practices, cultural identity, and social structures.  The writer is concerned about the change in outlook of the present generation Youths Of Gond Tribes, as they have adopted customs, language and attitudes of the dominant cultures of India, making them challenging to accommodate with modern lifestyles, in the process of assimilation, they have forgotten Tribal Culture. The writer has composed his thoughts through this couplet on Gond deity "Bhimal Pen" with great devotional Importance. Because, Tribals use music 🎶 to express emotions & hand down oral histories that might otherwise be lost, if not passed down to younger generations. "Song / Music / Dance" is an intangible cultural heritage of Tribal Communities, it is an integral part of Tribe's Existence. Therefore, the writer through this Gondi Song advocating the fellow Tribals to recollect the History of the Gondwana Era, there is a felt need to come together and remain United for the social causes, and ensure a better future to next generation.
