His Majesty the King attended the proclamation of the Princess of Girona International 2025 Award in the categories of "Research" and "Creative Business," during the fifth and final stage of the Talent Tour, as part of the "Princess of Girona CongresFest." Prior to the ceremony, Felipe VI attended the "Princess of Girona INSPIRE" session. The event began at the Rey Juan Carlos University in Móstoles, where His Majesty the King was received by the President of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso; the Government Delegate in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín; the Mayor of Móstoles, Manuel Bautista; the Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Universities, Juan Cruz Cigudosa; and the Rector of the Rey Juan Carlos University, Abraham Duarte. The president of the Princess of Girona Foundation (FPdGi), Francisco Belil, and the Foundation's director general, Salvador Tasqué, were present. Upon his arrival in the lobby, the King was greeted by the FPdGi ambassadors. He then proceeded to the Rectorate's Assembly Hall, where he took his seat. The FPdGi's awards director, Ingrid Aznar, introduced the "Princess of Girona INSPIRE" session and gave the floor to an inspiring talk entitled "The Pulse of Youth," delivered by Sergio Álvarez, winner of the 2016 Princess of Girona Business Award. Following the talk, a question-and-answer session was held, also moderated by the awards director. A brief joint statement was then delivered by five FPdGi award winners: Soleá Morente, singer and 2018 Arts Award winner; Luz Rello, founder of Change Dyslexia and 2016 Social Award winner; Guillermo Gauna-Vivas, founder and CEO of Ayúdame 3D and recipient of the 2020 Social Award; Victoria Luengo, actress and recipient of the 2024 Art Award; and Sergio Álvarez, co-founder of Carto and General Partner of Venture Capital, as well as recipient of the 2016 Business Award. Following the session, His Majesty the King greeted the artistic and production team of the FPdGi documentary “Generation of Teachers” in the lobby. This documentary, produced by Secuoya Studios in collaboration with the Foundation, tells the stories of five young participants in the fourth edition of the “Generation of Teachers” program, with the aim of highlighting the importance of rural areas as spaces for education and transformation. ...//...
