I first played Hades in 2021. Back then, I rather dryly acknowledged the game's exceptional quality, but I didn't have a real conversation with it. Three years later, having launched it almost by accident out of boredom, I found myself completely engrossed in the story of the family of the ruler of the afterlife. What drew me in so deeply, and more importantly, why only now? These are the questions I attempt to answer in this essay. #hades #review #games
