They DO Exist! 1970 Plymouth Sport Fury GT V Code 440-6 Barn Find Sees The Light After 45 Years!
In this video we share with you an absolutely incredible car, a 1970 Plymouth Sport Fury GT! Not just a GT but a real V Code 440 6 Barrel car. Not just some boring green, this one is factory R6 Scorch red paint, bucket seats, console, 8 track player, rim blow wheel, factory floor mats, and door edge guards. The story is even more amazing. This car was parked in 1981 in a barn in West Virginia and only saw the light of day again two weeks ago. It was parked after hitting a patch of ice and having an unfortunately off road incident. Luckily the car was not too damaged. We at Rocket have the privilege to bring this amazing car back to life! In this video we go over a lot of little details on the car. They only build 66 of these beautiful brutes with 13 of the VIN’s known and only 10 cars existing. We show you the underside of the car and find that unfortunately the transmission is not numbers matching but the engine is. We believe only 4 cars still have the numbers matching engines. We go digging for a broadcast sheet and find one! Very exciting moment finding that super important piece of documentation. Also we show you how to use a paint meter to figure out how much of the car is original paint, which luckily is a lot of it. Keep watching the channel as we do a mechanical restoration on the car and fix the minor damage from the accident.
