Here's Why The Maxus D60 Pro Needs to Improve Its Game [Car Review]

The 2021 Maxus D60 pro is the base model D60 available in the Philippines. It slots in below the Maxus D60 Elite, and costs 100,000 pesos less. However, this drop in price does not justify the transmission tuning of the dual clutch transmission, which is one of the poorer examples that I've tested. In this Filipino car review, we check out if the 2022 Maxus D60 Pro can deliver more than its price can suggest. The price is at the same level as the Geely Coolray and the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro, but the 2022 Maxus D60 Pro has a bunch of feature cuts done to meet this low price level. I can live with thes feature cuts, but the 2022 Maxus D60 Pro has a transmission and infotainment system that is just unacceptable. The traction control system is also very aggressive, to the point that it cuts all power when the slightest slippage is detected. The 2022 Maxus D60 pro is a gorgeous crossover, cutting edge and futuristic looks, but Maxus and SAIC will need to improve the driving experience in order to get this Maxus D60 Pro to break through the hotly contested compact crossover segment.
