#CivilGuard #CivilGuardOperations #Drugs The Civil Guard has arrested 20 people, members of the same family clan, for drug trafficking, among other crimes. This investigation has dismantled a criminal group based in the town of Carlet. On July 31, 2025, a patrol on duty in Carlet observed a vehicle make an evasive maneuver upon noticing their presence. They proceeded to identify the vehicle. Under the passenger seat, they found a package containing 1,167 grams of cocaine, leading to the driver's arrest. This discovery initiated the investigation. The investigation revealed the existence of a highly hierarchical organization dedicated to the cultivation and trafficking of drugs, where each person performed a distinct role. The leadership consisted of two couples who spearheaded strategic decision-making. The women were in charge of logistics: while one coordinated the supply of merchandise from secure warehouses, the other managed the busiest sales point, overseeing stock and retail distribution. On May 11, nine simultaneous raids were carried out at various homes and warehouses. Several indoor marijuana grow operations were discovered, some hidden in secret compartments beneath shower trays and false ceilings, equipped with automated irrigation systems. This was an attempt to evade police detection. One kilogram of high-purity cocaine was seized, along with more than 600 grams ready for distribution. Also seized were 80 grams of heroin, 4,912 grams of dried buds, 1,114 cannabis plants, and 3,151 cannabis cuttings. In addition, €38,850 in cash was confiscated, including a bag containing €2,400 in small denominations. A pistol and a shotgun stolen in 2023 were also found, along with approximately 200 cartridges of various calibers. As part of the organization's concealment strategy, they used straw men and family members to act as the registered owners of luxury goods in order to launder the proceeds of their illicit activities. Two high-end vehicles, two motorcycles, and a light quadricycle were seized. Twenty people have been arrested in connection with these events: six Spanish women and thirteen men, all Spanish except for one Moroccan national, ranging in age from 25 to 67. A 16-year-old minor was also arrested. Five of those arrested, including the group's leaders, have been remanded in custody. They are charged with the following crimes: drug trafficking, money laundering, electricity fraud, membership in a criminal organization, illegal possession of firearms, and drug cultivation. The investigation was carried out by officers from the Carlet Main Station. The case file was submitted to the Civil and Preliminary Investigation Section of the Carlet Court, Plaza number 1.
