Cavedoll - Wireless (CARDIACS COVER, feat. Terence Hansen)

"Wireless" written by the great and glorious musical force of nature known as CARDIACS. Tim Smith (R.I.P) and Cardiacs have easily been one of the most inspiring and influential bands of my life time, so it is with great humility that I offer up this bastardization of their masterpiece from the album "Sing to God Pt. 1", WIRELESS. This song was chosen for two reasons: it's amongst my favorite tracks by Cardiacs and one of the few I felt capable of even attempting given its relative simplicity. We took many creative liberties, in particular with the end of the song. Where Cardiacs take the song out with a lovely orchestral bit, Terence Hansen and I decided to interpret the chords being used in that section and turn them into a double neck acoustic guitar feature section with a more traditional pop/rock feel and also create a new vocal section. To create this I quickly jotted down all of my favorite lyric lines from Sing To God's Pt. 1 & 2, and then started writing a new semi-stream of consciousness set of lyrics that would incorporate those wonderful cardiac lines into a creation or amalgamation. When all was said and done, I quickly realized exactly what I'd written about... NO SURPRISE... It had turned to the subject of the giant Orange slug who had been calling himself the american president from the years 2017-2021.
