「石舞台古墳を解説」【対談】松原純 × 来村多加史
This time, we have a conversation with Professor Kitamura Takashi about "Ishibutai Kofun." Ishibutai Kofun, one of Asuka's most famous tourist attractions, is visited by many tourists, but its impression may only be of a huge stone chamber. In this conversation, we ask him to explain the tomb from various perspectives, including its topography and the likely burial site (why is it called the "Tomb of Soga no Umako"?). We hope this will inspire those who have visited before to revisit it. 0:00 Opening 0:31 About the burial site (presumed to be Soga no Umako) 1:38 About the age of the tomb 2:38 What is the origin of the name? 4:12 What is the shape of the mound? 5:57 When was the stone chamber exposed? 7:47 Destroyed Tomb 9:06 Recommended Spots 11:05 Location of Tomb 13:21 Surrounding Environment and Landscape [Professor Kurumura's Background] Professor Kurumura is a native of Akashi City, Hyogo Prefecture, and has been interested in archaeology since childhood. He admired Professor Aboshi Yoshinori of Kansai University, who excavated the Takamatsuzuka Tomb, and enrolled there to study under him. After completing his doctoral studies at Kansai University, he earned his PhD in research on Chinese imperial tombs. He currently teaches tourism studies to students at Hannan University. He is also active in many fields, appearing on television, publishing books, and working as a tour guide and lecturer for Club Tourism.
