Supergirl (2026) Ripped My Eyeballs Out Of My Skull

This movie is so bad bro #dc #supergirl This movie isn't just watered down, it's completely drowned. The plot is underwhelming, the pacing somehow feels both rushed and slow at the same time, and almost every single scene has the exact same dim orange and LED lit atmosphere. The visual potential was insanely high and it ends up looking like nothing. The writing is lazy throughout, constantly telling you things instead of showing them. Cara explains her backstory in throwaway lines, Lobo's entire planet being destroyed gets mentioned in passing, and the golden opportunity to have him and Supergirl bond over both losing their homeworlds goes completely nowhere. The main plot of saving Krypto holds almost no emotional weight because we never actually see them bond beyond a tennis ball and a party. Krem is one of the worst villains in recent memory, with zero development, a horrible design, and no interesting qualities whatsoever. Every bit of character development feels absent or contradicted, especially Cara's arc, which ends with a lesson that basically amounts to "just kill them and everything will be fine." Superman and the Krypton scenes were genuinely good, and Jason Momoa did great as Lobo even if he barely got to shine. But outside of those moments, there's very little to hold onto. The fight choreography is rough, the score is forgettable, the humor mostly doesn't land, and the costume design is almost nonexistent. It feels like a first draft that never got another pass. A ton of missed opportunities wrapped around a paper thin plot.
