ARQAM HOUSE refers to the historical "Dār al-Arqam" as a model of a protected space for learning, empowerment, and collective responsibility, where change arises from the bottom up through conscious, active individuals. Inspired by the concept of the Third Space, it questions the binary of "private faith" and "public politics" and poses the question: How can an Islamically grounded, responsible life be effective in society today? At its core lies a holistic understanding of "Deen"—a comprehensive concept that connects spirituality, ethics, knowledge, and political action. The podcast consciously distances itself from hegemonic and Eurocentric interpretations, instead emphasizing sound Islamic knowledge, critical thinking, and an anti-authoritarian stance. A key concept is "Salihat": constructive, righteous action as the essence of Islam. Here, faith does not mean withdrawal, but rather responsibility—social, political, and moral.
