There was only one problem: according to the records, the ship should have been gone for decades. At first, it looked like a data error. Then the radio calls started. Then the port received berth requests from a terminal that didn’t exist. And every year, at exactly 3:40 AM, the vessel vanished before reaching shore. Some ships get lost at sea.
