Interlogix Simon XT Overview

In this video, Jorge gives a comprehensive overview of the Interlogix Simon XT Alarm System. This is a wireless all-in-one system that is operated using a push-button keypad. It supports up to 40 zones, and it can readily interface with 319.5 MHz wireless sensors. It can be upgraded to use cellular. With the right support, the Simon XT is a budget-friendly option that provides nearly all of the same great functions and features that one would expect out of a newer and more robust security panel. Its 40 zones will provide adequate support for virtually any home or small business. The Integlogix/GE Sensor lineup that is supported by the system is very diverse, and users will be able to find the perfect sensor for almost any type of application. Additionally, up to eight user codes are supported by the alarm panel. But thing to remember is that the Simon XT will need to have a cellular communicator installed for reliable functionality. Otherwise, the system will be forced to rely on phone line service for alarm monitoring. Phone lines are not reliable when used with alarm systems, because it is a relatively slow communication path, and the signals don't always reach their intended destination. On the other hand, cellular communication is very fast, and it works with exceptional reliability. Adding an Alarm.com cellular communicator to the Simon XT will allow the system to connect with the Alarm.com interactive service. This is an outstanding platform that greatly improves the end user experience with the Simon XT. A user can access Alarm.com from anywhere using the Alarm.com Mobile App that works with any iOS or Android device.
