BBC Pebble Mill - Donny MacLeod Tribute
An emotional tribute to BBC Pebble Mill at One presenter Donny MacLeod, the original king of daytime TV, who died suddenly from a heart attack in 1984. Donny was a key presenter on the show from its beginning in 1972 until his death. The tribute is delivered emotionally but exquisitely professionally (especially considering the circumstances) by Marion Foster and Bob Langley and includes lost BBC clips from McLeod’s Soviet Union & McLeod’s America and shows extracts from interviews with Edward Heath, Les Dawson, Dame Edna Everage, Terry Wogan and the legendary Morecambe and Wise. Donny was a close friend and college of my Father so this tribute had been kept on VHS for the past 30 years.
