V8 engine swap! 2023 Audi SQ7 review: Diesel out, petrol in for Mercedes GLS53 and BMW X7 M60i rival

The 2023 Audi SQ7 has undergone a significant change under the bonnet. The large SUV has been renowned for its mighty 4.0-litre twin-turbo diesel V8 with an electric compressor - but no more. That's right; the hard-hitting oiler is now unavailable and it's successor has big boots to fill. But that might not be such a daunting challenge, given its replacement is another 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 - but this one runs on petrol and doesn't have electrical assistance. Either way, it delivers more power but less power, so it's a classic mixed bag, although owners are unlikely to care due to the performance on offer. In this expert review, CarsGuide Contributing Journalist Emily Agar and her family of three spend a week with the updated SQ7 to find out whether the SQ7 has improved with age, especially against newer rivals like the Mercedes-AMG GLS53 and BMW X7 M60i. #Audi #SQ7 #Review -- Timecodes: 00:00 Intro 00:44 Pricing and features 01:54 Practicality 06:51 Under the bonnet 07:36 Driving 09:33 Efficiency 10:19 Safety 11:01 Ownership 11:31 Verdict -- Read Emily's full review: https://carsgui.de/3PvMMf0 Check out our Audi SQ7 hub: https://carsgui.de/3Jw3AOU Find more SUVs: http://carsgui.de/2o3syZz Visit our FamilyGuide: http://carsgui.de/2qpbJia -- CarsGuide - Go beyond the test drive Visit our website for News, Reviews, Advice and more: https://www.carsguide.com.au Subscribe to our YouTube channel:    / carsguide   Like our Facebook page:   / carsguide.australia   Follow our Instagram profile:   / carsguideaus   Follow our TikTok profile:   / carsguide.com.au   Follow our Twitter profile:   / carsguide   Follow our LinkedIn page:   / carsguide-com-au
