Police investigating the death of former Tory minister Ann Widdecombe have released a 26-year-old man who had been arrested on suspicion of murder and say he is no longer part of the inquiry. The 78-year-old was found with serious injuries at her Devon home, but detectives have stressed there is currently no evidence of a terrorist or political motive.
