¿Por qué ya no se escucha música triste? (la razón es triste)

Thom Yorke says you know you're in trouble when people have stopped listening to sad music. I think we're in trouble. They say music is often a reflection of society. But if this were true, looking at the charts of the most popular songs would lead me to think that all Latin Americans do 24/7 is have heterosexual sex, or try to have heterosexual sex, or party with models. According to these songs, we're always having a good time, every day is Friday night, and being from Latin America is the best thing that can happen to anyone. You don't have to be Einstein to realize that these songs aren't a reflection of our society, but rather an escape. And don't get me wrong; it's perfectly normal to have party music and intense perreo. But looking at the list of the most-streamed songs in this part of the world, I can't help but realize a terrifying fact: we've stopped listening to sad music.
