It's one of the hottest spots in Mullae-dong, following Mullae Gisa Restaurant and Somunnan Restaurant. It's been featured on numerous media outlets, including SBS Baek Jong-won's Three Great Emperors, TBS Our Neighborhood Mullae-dong, SBS Live Today, tvN You Quiz on the Block, Wassup Man, Pyeon Restaurant, SBS Live Information, SBS Decided Taste, Real Korea, and Morning Yard. This is a very kind place, where you can order noodles for the regular or extra large portions for the extra portions, and just scoop up some rice for yourself. The grandmother used to give free meals to the hungry, and I think her generosity has returned in kind. It was even selected as the Best Restaurant in Seoul by SikSin, and it's truly delicious. Their signature Kal Bibim Guksu (spicy noodle soup) is sweet and sour, with a subtle spicy savory finish that whets your appetite. The noodles are boiled and then thoroughly rinsed in cold water, so they're soft, smooth, and springy, without any floury residue. Their flat noodles soak up the seasoning well, making them even more delicious. The meat dumpling filling is homemade, which adds to the texture. The kalguksu broth is also clean and light, with a clear anchovy broth and the addition of clam tofu. The noodles for both the noodles and bibim guksu are available in kalguksu and somen, and I personally recommend the kalguksu noodles. Whether you order kalguksu or bibim guksu, you'll enjoy the broth with tofu. You can also enjoy it with rice and kimchi, the restaurant's signature dish. Thanks to the cheerful owner and staff, and the newlyweds who joined us from the US, I was able to have a consistently pleasant and satisfying meal. I sincerely thank you.
