A Solo Ride to Mirystock Bridge & Tunnel | Forest of Dean Gravel Adventure

Join me for a solo gravel ride through the Forest of Dean as I spend a few hours exploring some of its quieter tracks, hidden corners, and a bit of forgotten history. This ride takes me to Mirystock Bridge and the nearby Mierystock Tunnel, remnants of the Forest's industrial past and once part of the now disused Severn and Wye Railway. Historically, the name has appeared with several spellings, including Mirystock, Mierystock and Mireystock. The bridge is signed as Mirystock Bridge, while the tunnel is signed as Mierystock Tunnel, perhaps reflecting the variation in historical usage. Along the way there's plenty of woodland scenery, peaceful riding, and time to stop and take a closer look at the places that make the Forest of Dean such a fascinating place to explore.
